You know how I always say things like, "I spend most of my life on resale" or "Let me help you find something secondhand" or "Everything I own is from resale"? Well, I figured it was about time I actually show you what it is I own! Just a few of my favorite finds.
I’ve been putting off this post for ages, mostly because of my endless excuses like, "Ugh, my camera is terrible," or "I don't even have a proper mirror." But, if you’ve seen what I tend to spend my money on... let's just say it might be a long wait before I splurge on new tech or a mirror.
Oh, and quick side note: a few people have asked me, "How/when/why do you write so much?!" The truth is, everything I write has already been bouncing around in my head for a while — and it’s like my thoughts finally have a place to land. Funny enough, the same thing happened with my therapist. I once asked her if it was normal to have a million questions and thoughts for our sessions, and she reassured me it was just me finally pulling things out from under the rug. This newsletter is a bit like that, and also it’s new & exciting, and I’m still finding my rhythm. But it genuinely makes me so happy to know you're reading along, so thank you! (Also, let’s connect and react to each other’s stories on insta.)
Below are a few pics of some pieces I love, along with where I found them and what I paid (if I can remember). Let me know what catches your eye! If I can track these down for myself, I can surely do the same for you.
Pics, please
Bags:
This one always gets so many compliments! It’s vintage Aquascutum — a British brand I first heard ages ago from my brother. Speaking of, he subscribed to my newsletter the other day and it almost made me cry (hi, Sandro!); Got it from Vestiaire Collective for ca. €50.
This tiny vintage navy delight is from Jil Sander. Found on eBay Kleinanzeigen, which is a little German eBay! Purchased for like €40!!! The seller had this bag for ages and it still looks new.
Mini chic purse from Junya Watanabe. Vestiaire Collective, ca. €90.
This is my pride! I mean, Pride! This one is actually from Prada Beauty, and it is reversible, super durable, practical, thick and comfy! It had this Prada Beauty logo, but I took it to my favorite seamstress this week and she put some nice cloth over it. :) From eBay Kleinanzeigen for €15!!!
These are my best friends! Both from Issey Miyake. The one on the left is so stylish, practical, roomy — I carry my laptop, notebook, an apple, and all my troubles in that tote. Vinted, €60. (Here’s one for you in grey.) The little clutch on the right is from Vestiare Collective, it was ca. €70.
Issey Miyake “Pleats Please”, this is my summer bag! Vinted, €40.
Aw, this “lunch pouch” from Man Repeller was my first (and last?) purchase from The RealReal. It carries sentimental meaning! Cannot remember the €.
Shoes:
Yummmm! Martiniano glove shoe, eBay Italy, ca. €120.
These vintage brandless mules are from Imparfaite, ca. €40. They had some cheerful ribbons on them, but I took them to my aforementioned favorite seamstress (in Tbilisi) this week, and she swapped them with less cheerful buttons. :)
Haha, these are here to show you that I do have non-heels. These are at least eight years old by now. Yohji Yamamoto “sno foxing”, from eBay, and I cannot remember how much I paid. They are so comfy! Suspiciously so! Omggg am I killing my feet in all these heels!
These ecco boots come from Sellpy! They are really good!! But so is the granola bowl. But, I boycott the bowl because it’s pretending to be healthy, and it’s not. Whereas the boots are not pretending to be anything. They just are.
Clothing:
This shirt is vintage Kenzo. It’s from Imparfaite. This pic is also the logo of comme/neuf, but I kind of wish someone would help me create a proper nice logo. A colleague of mine told me I should do it myself, so I downloaded Figma but then I closed Figma.
A friend of mine calls it chef’s vest. I love it. Also, judging by my sleeping routine, and how early I wake up, I do think I should work at a bakery. Career option B!
This one is also Yohji Yamamoto. It’s really special!! Also, red suits me. I found this wool cardi on Shafa — a Ukrainian resale platform, and begged the seller to send it to Germany via post. It all worked out! It was like…€40. P.S. I think you should buy this Yohji top from me!
Ok, I talked about this Prada dream top so much, I feel like it deserves its own Substack. But I am happy to report that I am actually wearing it a lot. I found it on Vestiare Collective. I choose to forget how much it cost.
Also quite proud of these guys: the grey cashmere top is from Vinted Italy for €5!!!; the black vintage Blumarine crew was €10. (I mentioned these before in the cashmere post and the cardigans post.)
Silk vintage Margiela in the most beautiful aubergine color! eBay Kleinanzeigen, ca. €80.
This one is quite unique! It is a runway Margiela trench. Which I am now trying to sell. Please buy it — it could finance some of my upcoming Madrid trip, and also get me a mirror.
This recent summer look of mine could be The Row, but it is not and never will be, haha. Just wanted to tell you that: the shirt is men’s Kenzo for like €30 from VC, the pants are from Max Mara — also around €30 from Sellpy, the Issey bag was mentioned above, and the Bally mules were like €30 from Vinted. God bless resale is what I want to say!
“Set in stone”
Signing off with the mysterious Issey Miyake stone — a little something I found on Vinted for €20. I remember asking the seller, “Uh, what is it for exactly?” She never explained. Honestly, I still don’t know why I bought it. Like, who buys an Issey Miyake stone but does not buy a mirror? What I do know is that it’s been sitting in my kitchen for a year now, and while I have no idea what purpose it serves, every time I see it, I smile. Maybe that’s what it’s for.
Love all of your secondhand finds, esp that Jil Sander bag - you're inspiring me to spend more time on eBay (in addition to all of the time I spend on The RealReal)

Loved this! Thanks for sharing. And if you run across another pair of those black sneakers in size 9/39-9.5/39.5, please let me know!!
