Spanish brands
Twenty (smaller) brands I like and follow
Hola buenas!!
Today’s letter is inspired by the fact that I am in Spain! I’m here walking around in the sun and wondering if I have any readers based in Madrid. I can think of at least three of you in here — maybe more? Let me know because I feel like we should all meet!
It’s sunny, warm and sunny and warm again. My body, my soul, my everything needed this. Some people feel good in cold climates; I am not one of those people. After years of gray skies and those painful winds, the Spanish sun feels like the best hug. I’ve been walking around grinning like a fool, wearing my heeled boots and hoping my feet don’t give up on me anytime soon.
One thing I keep noticing in Madrid: very stylish older women. Little fur coats, suede moccasins — probably all vintage Loewe, or at least that’s what I like to imagine. A masterclass in chic.
Meanwhile, I’m over here regretting my chaotic packing choices. Why didn’t I bring more black pants? Or a cardigan? Or normal-sized T-shirts? Why are all my T-shirts so big?? Every morning is a battle between “what did I pack?” and “why did I pack this?” Naturally, this has led to some “emergency” shopping (read: excuses to browse Vinted). Right now, I’m determined to find beautiful, high-quality pieces for ten euros. A noble mission, if you ask me.
Since I’m here, I’ve also been looking into Spanish brands — some I already love, others I’ve just discovered. I made a little list, look! And after you look, tell me what (smaller) Spanish brands you wear and love, please.
