Some people write about interesting, thought-provoking topics. I write about stuff from resale. Actually, I don’t even write about it — I just link to stuff. But I do that with great joy! Sometimes I think it’d be nice to be that deep, critical voice on some grand subject but I don’t have any grand ideas…and also, to each their own I guess? Well, today I’m here to tell you that I love turtlenecks!
This letter is inspired by 1) my own turtleneck from Japan, 2) Diane Keaton, very often (not always), and 3) this J.Crew ad:
And like some seller on Vinted France said, “le froid s'installe enfin ❄️”, so here we go, let’s be prepared.
Turtlenecks on resale for you:
Eric Bompard cashmere in brown from France. I want it myself!!!
Jil Sander vintage wool short-sleeve in black from the US. I want it myself!!!
WoolOvers wool in purple from the UK. I’d get it if I were less boring, remember?
Or this Dries Van Noten in extreme (to me) pink!! Shipped from Ukraine.
Similar Max Mara in grey but with a belt! Also shipped from Italy.
Margiela wool in grey from France. So cute, does it count as turtleneck? I would layer this under evrything.
Lemaire in cotton beige/rose. I love Lemaire! I forgot that I love him.
Saks Fifth Avenue in cashmere, blue. From the US.
Talbots cashmere in black in Italy. I read about Talbots in 1992 Vougue and heard some lovely things! From you, Stepahine!!
Sleeveless unsigned wool top from Czech Republic. It’s very Rachel Green, no?
Vintage Bill Blass! Sleeveless little top in beige, it looks quite special to me!
By Malene Birger in brown wool mix from EU. Looks comfy?
Toteme in black wool, new!! From Bulgaria.
Toteme turtleneck dress in grey wool from Sweden.
Brandless “Made in Italy” cashmere classic one in black. Can’t really go wrong with this.
Brandless “Made in Italy” cashmere + wool delight in light blue. Love!
Navy blue wool from malo in the US. malo is a really good brand!
I’m sorry but what is this, Escada? I find it so bad that it is good!?
I love you forever, Yohji Yamamoto. Red, cashmere, heaven, Italy.
And I love you forever, Issey Miyake. Purple Pleats Please, Netherlands.
Voilà! So? You like what you see?
P.S. So! Does everyone hate affiliate links? What’s the deal? I mean, none of my links are affiliate links at the moment, but I’m thinking about it. The idea of earning a euro for every purchase someone makes through my link sounds appealing, especially since it wouldn’t cost you anything extra, right? So then why do we hate affiliate links? I like the thought of making an extra 20 euros a month — it could buy me five flat whites! Plus, I’m trying to be Europe’s Gab Waller. But I’m not sure if I’m fully on board with this idea yet. What’s the consensus?
Definitely do affiliate links!!!
Annie, you are adorable! I don’t mind affiliate links. If you are doing the work to make our shopping easier, I want you to be compensated.
